About the hosts

Josh Stucky

Host

Joshua Stucky is a lifelong resident of the Miami Valley. He is the proud owner of Square One Salon and Spas in the Dayton and Columbus Area. Joshua is one of the founders of the RubiGirls, a non-profit organization supporting LGBTQ+ causes. He had a long and much loved career as an Elementary Teacher in the Kettering Schools. He created the ‘Stage 117’ Children’s theater in Kettering while teaching. Joshua has been speaking across the country on human rights and the impact of the LGBTQ+ community on the American way of life. He is a TED speaker and public motivator who spreads the word about ‘Using your difference to make a difference!’ He has been ‘married’ to his husband Brent for 32 years, loves gardening, raises koi and can’t live without his pups!

Philip Drennen

Host

Philip Drennen serves as Executive Director at TheatreLab Dayton and can also been seen on and off stage as an actor and director in their productions. Philip’s latest production “The Big Gay Jamboree” is set to premiere at the Orpheum Theatre in NYC in 2024. Philip has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music and his professional performing career took him across the US and the world including venues in London, Scandinavia, New Zealand, China and South Africa. After settling in Las Vegas and headlining the famous Strip, Philip moved back to his home town of Dayton to focus on Arts Administration and helped to rebrand and launch TheatreLab Dayton and continues to inspire local students, talent, and patrons in the Dayton area.
